my love story

Love is a precious thing, we all know that. The only way to get love is to give some. And the only way to get some is to give some. But what if you don’t know how to give some? That’s where my story begins.

My name is Brandy and I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Well, actually it’s in California and it’s not really a small town, it’s L.A., but to me it’s small. I’m 15 years old and am about 5’4 in height. Pretty short, we all know. The only thing is, I have never been asked out on a date.

I really don’t know why though. I guess it’s because I’m not that attractive to the guys around here. All of them like the girls who are willing to give up there virginity on the first date and are down right gorgeous. Unlike me. Sure I might be pretty with my long black hair, big brown eyes, and caramel smooth skin, but that’s it. I’m not beautiful or anything like that. Not to mention I’m as smart as an ant, but enough about me. Let’s talk about the guy I always wanted, but could never have.

It was another boring school day like the rest. Christmas break was over and a new semester started. I was sitting in math class pretending to do my work when I was actually passing notes with Julie, my best friend, when he walked in. Standing tall and straight looking around the room, with no intention I was there, he looked like nothing I’ve seen before. I’ll never forget that day.

He came into the room glowing like an angel with his strong, broad arm swinging to his side. He sort of looked like he would be one of the popular guys in no time, but at the same time he looked like he could hang out with me and my friends and still be cool. He was like the perfect guy.

My seat is in the middle of the classroom, so that means it’s impossible for him to sit next to me unless we switched seats in class. Not going to happen. My teacher, Mr. Lovstin, does not like moving seat. He says that we were meant to sit there for a reason, whatever that means. So since Michael, Julies boyfriend, was snowed in at Indiana and that was the only seat available, he sat there. The only problem was Michael seat was in front of me and I was having a bad hair day.
